How Uber is Having Major Compeition in Markets Outside the USA

This is map that Forbes India complied for an article about how Uber is having issues when going into markets that have companies that are more established, and are based in that home country. This is an image of globalization, since in other parts of the world has started to catch on to the mobile app driven ride-share market by creating their own platform, that is similar to Uber, but is more popular.  Which I think is really fascinating that there has been a trend of having different ride-share programs in different countries operating and not only having two or three companies have a majority of all the countries, and some countries have platforms that are more successful The article focuses on the Asian markets of India and China and how they have their own ride-share companies that are more successful than Uber is in their country. I did know a little about India's company Olacabs,Ola for short, being the major company in India, but I didn't know they controlled 80% of the total ride-share market in India, since they bought out their major rival TaxiForSure. Ola has the edge since they are based in India and started the ride-share platform three years before Uber decided to enter India's market. In Sweden, Uber is the main ride-share platform, but the Swedish Government has welcomed any other ride-share company, to enter their market for Uber to have a competitor and that company is, Taxuakt.
